	About the Maxwell Insurance

	The Maxwell Insurance Agency is an independent insurance agency owned by Larry & Susie Maxwell both, life long residents of Martinsville. Larry & Susie purchased the agency June 2008 from Marilyn & Chester Pearce, who had started the agency in 1972. Larry joined the Pearce Agency in April of 1984. He came to the agency after spending ten years as a Health & Life insurance agent for The Harvest Insurance Agency through the Indiana Prairie Farmer Magazine. In 1988, Chet Pearce directed his energy to the Bail Bond business he had started, thus turning all Commercial & Farm Insurance business of the agency over to Larry. After obtaining her insurance license in 1991, Susie joined the agency in 1992 concentrating on personal lines clients. Larry & Susie have been very active over the years with the companies that have partnered with the agency. Susie attended and participated in State Auto Insurance’s Pace Setters program for new agents in Columbus, Ohio. What a great introduction and foundation

for any agent. For the past ten years, Larry has served on the Agents Advisory Council for Indiana agents with Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company of Grinnell Iowa. Along with the Advisory Council, Larry & Susie have both participated at the Annual Agents meetings in Grinnell. The Maxwell Agency again in 2008 attained the status of Senior Partner with Grange Insurance Companies of Columbus, Ohio. Senior Partner designation is extended to agencies based on performance and volume of business over a three year period. In 2007 the Senior Partners, which numbered 400 agents over a ten state area produced 75% of the companies business.

The Maxwell Agency is currently partnered with Grange Mutual Companies, Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company, Farmers Mutual Insurance of Johnson & Shelby Counties, Progressive Insurance, and Alfa Vision Insurance. As an independent insurance agency, we also have access to many other companies specializing in those hard to insure needs.
